Juniper Seed
1809 Elm Street
Juniper Seed is a plant-based brunch and grab-and-go restaurant that prioritizes local ingredients. Owner Alecia Petroze has been bopping around the restaurant industry for nearly 20 years, and opening a vegan food business has always been in the back of her mind.
Prior to her Findlay Launch Storefront Residency, Alecia has been working out of Findlay Kitchen to take the work out of the plant-based lifestyle by planning, sourcing, prepping, and delivering meals to her clients’ doorsteps. She delights in partnering with small businesses and farms in the area to source her products, and then turning them into dishes you can hardly believe are plant-based.
Wendigo Tea Co.
1811 Elm Street
Wendigo Tea Co. has been part of the Findlay Market community for years as a Findlay Kitchen Member and loyal Outdoor Market Vendor, setting up nearly every weekend despite the weather. Founder and owner, Sky White, fell in love with tea on a world tour with his band, Foxy Shazam, and launched headfirst into a food business with little experience in the industry.
"Wendigo Tea Co. just hit the 10-year milestone of supplying weird and rare teas to Cincinnati. The early years were honestly pretty lonely and tough—constantly running into unknown challenges. The Findlay Learn program helped make Wendigo’s path more scalable and gave our business model some real structure. The team at Findlay Kitchen helped us develop safe, efficient bulk brewing processes—one of the main reasons we’re now able to serve brewed tea at hundreds of events every year. And Findlay Market has been key in introducing our teas to thousands of Cincinnati food lovers and curious tourists, growing the demand for our bizarre collection ever since.” – Sky White, Founder
